Although it was well past noon, the room remained dark, the curtains drawn closed in order to simulate night as Phoenix lay in his bed. He was awake, albeit barely, his eyes half-lidded and vaguely focused on the ceiling.

He was sore, he was tired, and he was not in a good mood. The past two nights afforded him little sleep as memories of the heat and the bridge and the freezing water below invaded his mind every time he closed his eyes. At first he had been able to preoccupy himself with his thoughts—there was a lot of think about, after all—but by now he was so utterly exhausted that his mind was working on auto-pilot and he blearily wondered if this was what Edgeworth felt like when he experienced his own nightmares.

A knock at the door elicited a groan. He knew Maraich wouldn’t bother knocking (or using the door, for that matter) so that left several possibilities, very few of which were appealing at the moment. He continued to stare at the ceiling, unmoving.

A second, more insistent knock sounded and Phoenix, with wavering effort, rolled to his feet with a sigh. It wasn’t as if he had anything better to do, anyway, and the possibility of an emergency loomed in the back of his mind, not at all surprising given the events of the last few days.

Stepping into some jeans, he shuffled his way toward the door, shrugging on a work shirt and quickly running a hand through his hair along the way. In his sleepy haze, it took a moment remember how to turn the knob before he finally, slowly opened the door.

“Yeah?”

Alright, guys. I'm sick of this shit. I want my powers back, and knowing Kusanagi, he's still moping around. So we're gonna take matters into our own hands.

However, and as much as I hate to admit to it, we need a plan. Any ideas?

I left Paris only days ago, but the Très Bien has made me eager to return...if only to indulge in enough fine French delicacies to remove all memory of the swill they dared to call cuisine. A warning would have been greatly appreciated.

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

I still do not understand this- internet. It has many odd images and games. I vaguely do understand why Usatan is so distracted by his DPA. He fiddles with the odd device most mornings and evenings when we were traveling together, I could never understand why. Now I do.

That was not exactly the most pleasant experience... Seeing that phantom ship sent chills down my spine, and everyone else aboard the Queen Fury, from what it looked like. If it wasn't for the fact that some how Shanna got on board that ship, we probably would have stayed on the Queen Fury. How she got on the phantom ship is beyond me, but it seemed like the ghosts were trying to protect her.

And then the storm came up while we were still on board the phantom ship, causing it to sink. Dart and I were the last ones to cross back over to the Queen Fury, and that's when he slipped. I grabbed onto him without thinking... Then both of the ships got jarred by the storm and I lost my grip, causing us to both fall...

Dart must have hit his head on something in the water, because he was knocked unconscious. I lost track on how long I was dragging him until we finally reached shore. We both got lucky. We managed to come to shore near a small fishing village so we know where we are now. Right now we are heading for Fueno, to see if we can find our companions.

That whole experience brought back several memories. Memories from 18 years ago, and from the end of the Dragon Campaign...

Normally, he would have been dozing, but he knew the moment he slipped into recharge would be the moment his Lord required him, and he wouldn't be ready to serve him. Eros had been in the pool, before, and his chatter and occasional mischievous dousings had done a lot to keep Blackout awake. Now he'd disappeared inside--Blackout didn't know why, he'd forgotten to ask--and it was warm and calm and quiet and...

Tsunade left her coat at the reception desk and ran down the halls. She burst into the emergency room they had brought Jiraiya into and sent one of the medic-nin to go wait by the entrance for anyone coming to help and direct them in. Once she was gone, Tsunade made sure everything was prepped and that there would be enough room for everyone coming.
