....so after an embarrassing few days where I believed I was married to Harry, I check on the community to find everyone affected by yet another psychologically damaging virus.  Really, I'd think Voldemort was taking lessons from whatever runs DramaDramaDuck if I didn't know better.

[a newspaper article is held up to the camera.  it is a long list of names that takes up the entire spread, and it scrolls downward in an infinite loop.  the large print above them declares, "MUGGLE-BORNS WANTED BY THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC FOR INTERROGATION".  one name is highlighted.

hermione granger.

it is moved away from the camera and hermione comes into view.  she's pale, stressed, and obviously beside herself with too many emotions.  the past few weeks have been hard on her.]

I want to say this now so no one will ask later.  You cannot visit my world.  It's too dangerous.  Don't try.  Don't attempt to contact me either.  I'll try to use the computer to let you all know how things are going since it seems the Ministry can't track this, but it might not be often.

Dear, Cross, Nena, and Michael:

Letting a perfect stranger stay in your home with few questions on such short notice is something that not many people would agree to if the idea is brought up.  You did all of this and more.  Thank you for all you've done.  I wish I could stay longer, but there's something I've promised to do.  If When I return, I'll pay you all back somehow.  Don't worry about cleaning up, I've done all of that.  The only thing I ask is that you take good care of Crookshanks.  He and Johann seemed too fond of one another to break apart.  He doesn't cause much trouble and to be perfectly honest, he'll probably stay out of the house most of the time.  It's a part of his nature.

I'm not sure if the oddest part about all of that was the lack of ear-bursting music and shouting or the general air of civility in the house.  But it is nice to have things back to normal.

I have this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that something is going to happen.  Voldemort has been too quiet this past year and really, the only thing we hear anymore are rumors.  This person goes missing, one is horribly scarred, one winds up dead.  This doesn't fit his style.  He came back in such a way that everyone knows he's back, and now he virtually retreats?  Something is wrong.  And what's worse is that no one seems to care.  The Ministry's been sitting on their hands and looking the other way.  It's like opening the door and inviting him and the Death Eaters for tea and coffee afterwards.  Incompetent...fussy..egocentric ninnies.

Dubledore is the only one trying to do something, and getting Harry involved.  It's in the Prophecy, after all.  Either he will die at Voldemort's hands or vice versa.  And I can't believe he'd keep something like that to himself.  We're friends, this is important.  Did he honestly think that not telling us that he could get killed would help us?    When we talk, it's about things like tattoos or Quidditch and he won't listen to me when we try to bring up Eillen Prince or he'll go off with Ginny and snog next to the Lake.  What kind of stupid friend is he?

I sound like some lovesick twit.  Like Lavender.  Ugh.  It's really not good for me to even think that way now.  Ginny and all.

I'm not jealous.  I just don't like the fact that she takes up all of Harry's time when that should be reserved for his studies or for m--

It's June and for Harry Potter, that means some kind of craziness is about to hit the fan.  Hermione's been (rather fail-like on my part) moving through Half-Blood Prince so anybody that's read the series knows what's about to happen.  If you haven't then it'd be safe for you to look away from this post right now.

Has it really only been two weeks since the Quidditch Final...?  I know they say that time flies by as you get older, but this is ridiculous.  It feels like we started first year last week and now we're on the cusp of our final year.   I suppose this is what Mum and Dad mean when they say they feel older by the minute.

We did win the House Cup!  I wasn't too sure of what was going on and since Harry wasn't there, I didn't pay much attention, but those last few moments of the game felt so close.  All of Ravenclaw was furious; they didn't talk to us for about a week.  It was upsetting...for a minute or two.  But Harry--I don't want to be so harsh, but he deserved that detention.  Using an unidentified spell on someone and thinking you'll get away with it.  Honestly. 

Malfoy lost so much blood.  Madam Pomfrey said it was a stroke of luck that he was sent to the hospital wing so quickly.  And then Ginny, egging him on like that.  Just because she's his girlfriend doesn't mean she should stick up for him when he's obviously in the wrong.  It doesn't help either that he's been mooning about ever since they got together.  He won't listen to a word I say about the book or who owned it or his studies since we're near N.E.W.T.S.  Snape will look for any opportunity to fail him, doesn't he realize that?  Ugh, realationships.  Absolutely useless, the lot of them.

I think Seamus was able to sneak firewhiskey in the Tower somehow because the boys are making a lot of noise.  They all deserve it though.  Ron...he was poisoned on the first by some tainted mead Professor Slughorn gave him.  If Harry hadn't been there to save him--and then Harry was in the hospital wing on the eighth.  McLaggen got in the back of the head with a Bludger.  The--the berk, getting back at him with violence.  Really, boys are so thick.  At least it's been somewhat peaceful since then, if you don't count Ron and Lavender going at each other's throats every few minutes.  Harry keeps trying to talk to us about Malfoy and the Room and this huge plan he's undergoing, but I don't think Malfoy has the know-how for it.  Sure, he's a sneaky little ferret, but not even he could pull off everything that's been going on unless he had help.


Help....  Hm.

Everyone is mooning about here because of it too.  I can barely talk to Ron or Harry without them looking like someone beat them in the with a Bludger.  Ugh.  It's hard enough studying with them without being interrupted by "OH, WON-WON!"  Lavender's even more unbearable than she was before.  She and Parvati stay up half the night giggling over what she and Ron did, what they said, how the held hands on the way back from class, and on and on and on.  It's like living in a nightmare.

At least there's Apparition lessons.  Instructor Twycross said I was doing better than most of the other students which really isn't that well at all.  We only started last week.  I did do my resarch on the theory behind it so I suppose I am better off than the people who've only watched it.  Harry absolutely refuses to trust anything other than that--that book if it can called that.  Suspicous spells, unproven tactics in potion making.  It's dangerous.  I've tried to tell him, but he won't listen, which is all well and good.  See if I care if he gets caught cheating.  I told him so.

Enough about my rambling.  How have you all been?  I haven't been on the community since New Year's and there must be so much to catch up on.

People think that they're in musicals now.  Another virus gone by and I'm still a male.  Brilliant.  Really.

Hallo!  I didn't want to clog up the OOC comm, so this is just a note that I may not be around as often for the next few weeks.  First reason is school.  Exams should be coming up in a bit so I'll probably be studying and making sure I don't completely fail.  Second reason is that my pop is home from South Korea until the 14th so I'll be spending a lot of time with him.  We're going to my uncle's wedding in Flordia next week so replies will happen, but will be slow.

Someone turned Malfoy's hair a very violent shade of purple during lunch today.  With so many people in the Hall, the prefects haven't discovered who did it yet nor how the person could have done such a powerful nonverbal spell.  It's thought a seventh year is responsible, but no one's owned up to it.

I have to say that I'm glad I missed out on this virus.  It'd be rather hard to explain why a rational, healthy sixteen year old is in the corner crying to go home from school.  Speaking of, classes started!  NEWT level courses, they're challenging, but they're fun!  So much research and experimental procedures--it's enough to keep me very busy this year.

Snape was moved to Defense of the Dark Arts and of course Harry and Ron raved over it.  I'm not sure if we can lower our guard this year, but he is a teacher.  If Dumbledore thought something was wrong, he never would have allowed him to teach the class.  Our new Potions master....I think he's a definite downgrade in teaching quality interesting.  All he has is another style of teaching, is all.  And Harry.  He's more jumpy than usual.  Since Sirius--died, I can understand, but he's flying off at the handle about Malfoy.  That ferret couldn't deal with Voldemort if he dared.  His nose looks odd lately.  Almost off center.  I need to ask him how that happened.

I'm far from finished for studying for the day, but seeing how I have a lot of time on hands during term break, I decided to make an instant messaging username.  In case something like...Sirius ever happens again.
